I know, we all think of Paulo as a kind, honest, funny little Tigrina, and he is - unless you thrust your tongue into his ear two or three times. Such harmless play with our "gentle" Paulo provokes the most shocking violence!

Of course being Paulo he soon felt remorse. I lay on the floor, whimpering as he felt for broken bones.

"Yes, that rib there, it could be broken . . ." I sniffled. "Now feel my, um, lower spine . . . lower . . ."

Next Paulo perched on this gold - uh, thingie, bringing to mind the tale of a beautiful young Roman aristocrat abducted by roving Goths, put up in the slave market and purchased by a gang of brutish . . . but I'm sure you're not interested in some tiresome old story!

I also visited Wolk Writer's exhibit, which I believe is still at La Galerie de La Vie. Cool sculptures and whimsical objects that use the possibilities of virtual space.

But the best thing about the gallery is the Security Shark. This Great White Guard is no doubt trained to prevent theft. I would think twice about swimming in the little cove if I were you.

Through various complicated circumstances I found myself in Kowloon, which for the geographically challenged is an urban district in Hong Kong.

Under the canopy to the right, you see the Little Flyer which later caused me no end of trouble. At the time of this snap I am considering purchase. Notice the cool local lighting, possible through advances in Linden viewers! For reasons I don't recall I was dressed as a pirate, right down to my peg leg.

The grim mazes in this neighborhood reminded me of scary old adventure games. This place was a theater, so naturally I hoped to find depravity but no such luck.

Here's the vaguely menacing lobby of the Kowloon Hotel. Up the narrow stairs you find lock-able rooms - with nothing inside but grimy tables and chairs. Bring your own animations I guess :)

As to how I went from Kowloon to the sea floor, it's quite simple. In Kowloon I purchased the above-mentioned Little Flyer, brought it to Immanion (thereby exceeding my prim budget), and crashed into the security barrier around Phaonica. As I struggled to break free, I was terrified that our Tigron's powerful Laser Defense System would vaporize me and my tiny craft!

Finally I lurched backward, accelerated in total panic, and plunged into the surf. Where I found a strange seascape I had never seen before.

First, I love Wednesdays because that's Sinji's DJ night, and this week I made it to Steamworks with a whole ten minutes left!

After Sin and Tristan left, I met the delightful Dana, and she gave me a tour of her secular and spectacular temple. The

ruling principle here is stimulation, and she pulls off the tricky balance of colors and textures to powerful effect. Of course I thought she should totally start a dance club, because -

Beautiful partygoers (you know who you are) LOVE snapshooting each other in magnificent settings, and this setting is a blast!

Next it was on to the serene end of the architectural spectrum. I guided Dana around Immanion (after asking permission!), and she loved it. Dana knows her classicspeak, like the difference between pediments and capitals (I forget), what chalyses are (I forget), and when to say "te absolvo" (I use it wrong INCESSANTLY).

If Sinji and Yukio overheard my laughable attempt to provide a tour ("this is Phao . . . the Big Palace"), they would have me throttled and my body fed to the hounds. If they had hounds, which I hope they don't.

Next we visited another club. Koen danced with Dana, so I consoled myself with the attentions of other patrons. You know what? People give you stuff when you're nice to them!
